Our Mission

The Telomere Project is dedicated to funding lifesaving efforts for those affected by telomere syndromes (TS), in particular, those which result in shortened telomeres or low telomere promotion.

Our work centers on two key efforts:

Seeking pathways to treatments and a cure for telomere syndromes and associated diseases.

Building Thrive Tribe - a telomere syndrome & IPF community seeking joy and cherishing the time we have together.

Initially, our focus is on familial Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), the most common expression of telomere syndromes that is irreversible and ultimately fatal.

Our Priorities

  • We are investing in promising drug development research that aims to treat and cure Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and other telomere syndromes.

  • We are assembling a best-in-class Scientific Advisory Board to provide guidance and recommendation to our research regarding what innovations may have the biggest impact for patients.

  • We are building a community of support to provide companionship, fun experiences, information and resources to those affected by TS and IPF. Our aim is for those affected to never feel alone in their fight.

  • We are forging scientific and medical partnerships with public and private sector organizations that can help advance our mission.

  • We are fundraising with the help of our strategic partners and affected families (and their respective communities), all while operating in a cost-effective manner with an aim to maximize the impact of every dollar contributed to our cause.

Join Us

We are always looking for dedicated people to join our efforts! If you are interested in joining our best-in-class Scientific Advisory Board or are interested in getting involved in another capacity, we would love to hear from you - please contact us.
